Christ is Risen!  He is risen indeed!  Alleluia!

This Sunday’s Gospel image of the life the risen Christ shares with us is the image of friendship. We are called to serve others as Jesus came to serve, and to include others as Jesus did—thus making strangers into friends.  In the story from Acts 10, the Spirit prompts Peter to broaden his thinking beyond the “usual suspects,” thus opening the door to Cornelius and non-Jews who had previously been excluded.

Please remember to bring your First Sunday food donations–now for both the Welcome Table and the White Center Food Bank. Bring them forward as you come to Communion or place them in the front pews before worship. Your neighbors thank you!
