Peace is a vibrant and welcoming Lutheran Christian congregation located in West Seattle, a community grounded in the grace of God and passionate about making positive changes in the world. Our faith is based on a life-transforming story ~ the story of a powerful and patient God who has boundless love for all people of the world, who brings justice for the oppressed, who took on human form in Jesus and gave himself completely so that all people and all creation might experience the abundance and fullness of life with God.
Worship is at the center of our life together ~ a rich feast grounded in Scripture & the sacramental/liturgical tradition. Sunday worship begins at 10:30 am Pacific Time each week, roughly from September through May, and at 9:30am in the summer months. Holy Communion is celebrated each week and the Lord’s Table is open to all.
Christian education for ages 3 – adult begins at 9:15 each week from September through May.
Childcare is provided during in-person worship and education hours. There’s no dress code here, so please come as you are.
Erik Kindem, Peace’s pastor since 2005, is happy to address questions you may have!
We are a Reconciling in Christ Congregation, and welcome people of all sexual orientations and gender identities to join in the life and mission of our congregation.
