Peace Lutheran Has Activities for All Age Groups! Peace offers many fellowship and service opportunities for people of all ages. Among them are:
- Adult Choir ~ Thursdays from 7-8:30 pm under the direction of Jon Lackey (suspended during COVID-19 pandemic)
- Junior and Senior Youth ~ led by Nicole Klinemeier (check out the Youth Page for details)
- Peace Piecers ~ quilt making group which meets second and fourth Saturdays
- 2023 Bible Study ~ led by John Fueger
The Sabbatical Planning Team is excited to share plans for a Bible study during Pastor Erik’s 2023 sabbatical. The study will begin the Sunday following Easter (4/16/23), will be held virtually on Sundays during the Adult Sunday School hour (8:30 – 9:30 am), and last 6 weeks (ending 5/21/23). Our conversation will be based on Presiding Bishop Eaton’s Four Emphases Bible Study. – Please email the church office if you would like to be placed on the list to receive the Zoom meeting invitation.
- Prayer Ministers ~ ongoing prayer chain ministry that meets once quarterly and is available to make home visits prior to surgery and for other needs
- Bazaar The Bazaar group raises money to help purchase items for the church that are not usually included within the yearly budget.
- Senior Activity Group ~ Prior to COVID Lockdown, the Senior Activity Group (SAG) hosted monthly social events for seniors on 2nd Thursdays at 11:30am. This group is dormant as of March, 2020. Please contact the office or a council member to explore its revival.
- Women of the ELCA ~ 3rd Wednesdays at 1:00 pm
- Social Ministry Team ~ supporting outreach to the larger community through various projects both local and international.
- Creation Care Team ~ focused on helping us live into our first vocation as Earth keepers in an age of rapid climate change. Meets monthly via Zoom, and contributes to the monthly Peace Notes newsletter and most weekly Bulletins.
