Care for widows and other vulnerable ones runs deep in the scriptures. Jesus critiques institutional religion, and we see the parallels in our own time. Yet, radical trust in God is still possible even in the most dire circumstances. Micro-financing provides a new way in today's world for the vulnerable to build a future of hope for themselves.
