Sermon Title: Tender Compassion

(Luke 1:57-80, Luke 3:1-6)

Rev. Erik Kindem, December 6, 2009

Quick Summary:

The author of Luke gives us the backstory of John, situating him in real time and place and authenticating our search for a God who is anchored in reality. When events from the world find us asking WHY?, we find ourselves face to face with the God who hides himself in suffering, and who meets us in our wilderness with his tender mercy and the promise of resurrection.
