Sermon Title: What Counts Most?

(Acts 16:16-34)

Rev. Erik Kindem, May 16, 2010

Quick Summary:

As we take in the story of Paul and Silas' imprisonment and release, we ask the question, WHAT IS THE DEEPEST, MOST POWERFUL, MOST PERVASIVE REALITY IN THE STORY? In the midst of dire circumstances, Paul and Silas could have been overcome with fear. But they had learned to anticipate God’s presence and power in the most unholy places, through the most unlikely means. Their faith in a God who makes a way when there is no way, brings them an internal freedom which leads to their physical freedom, and the expansion of the community of the Body of Christ.
