Sermon Title: New Narrative - New Freedom

(John 12:1-8, Isaiah 43:16-21)

Rev. Erik Kindem, April 7, 2019

Quick Summary:

Having the responsibility of dealing with my elderly parents' theological library as we prepared their home for sale led to a reflection on narrative, opening on some new ways of understanding Mary's motivation for anointing Jesus, and also connecting with our Extraordinary Witness in this current series of sermons: Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

The upshot: whatever narratives you were born to, whatever scripts became part of your life along the way, God’s message today—through Isaiah, Mary and Dietrich—is that none of them finally have the power to determine your future.
