Sermon Title: From Idle Tale to Holy Mystery

(Luke 24:1-12, Isaiah 65:17-25)

Rev. Erik Kindem, April 21, 2019

Quick Summary:

As the women disciples of Jesus move toward his tomb in the half-light of dawn, prepared to anoint his body, they keep their thoughts focused on the task at hand, lest they be swept into the vortex of grief. This same vortex hangs over Paris in the wake of the fire at Notre Dame.

This sermon explores the connections between the long history and contemporary role of Notre Dame and the new narrative that the resurrection brings to our lives. God's vision moves us beyond repristination of the past. This turning point opens up the future to us now.
